About JC

JoAnn Carpenter aka "JC"
I'm JoAnn Carpenter, and it's awesome to meet you. I'm so glad you stopped by my blog :). I hope you will find many things you're interested in.

I absolutely love to crochet and come up with new designs.

I first learned to crochet from my mother when I was young. For many years, I forgot all about crocheting, and then... my Mom died of colon cancer in December of 2007.

During her 20 months of cancer treatment, she crocheted things for family members. She made afghans for everyone, and finished them all before she died -- except for mine. She told me about it, and suggested I finish it myself.

It took quite some time before I was able to pick up 'where she'd left off', but when I finally did (I cried on every stitch) it revived my love of crochet, and I've been working on things constantly every since.

The "MJ" afghan is shown below. Half stitched by my Mom (Martha), the other half by me (JoAnn).

(picture coming soon)

Now I crochet whatever inspires me -- I end up with many practical things for myself, my family and my home, as well as for chemotherapy patients (in memory of Mom).

This blog is a place for me to share my creations, and my story. I hope you will take up this awesome craft if you haven't already.

Another blog on which I share things I love is Happy Healthy Recipes, so check that one out too!

And, finally, I am an Internet Marketing Consultant and Web Designer (see www.jcarpenter.biz), and blog about Integrated Marketing Communications.

Thanks so much for visiting, and best wishes for happiness and success in all that you do.
